Services offered can expand the discussion with customers

Last week we announced an expansion of solutions for customers in life, health and retirement. We had a great week of education and training that focused on how a simple, one-page overview of solutions can help an agent expand the discussion without getting distracted from why they are there.

Drew Gurley, our EVP, led two sessions that lasted about 30-40 minutes. Much of the discussion centered on examples from agents who use the approach today. Here are a couple of examples of what you missed:

Agent: Marty, Arizona
Situation: Marty uses Services Offered as part of Medicare Supplement sales
Expanded client solution/opportunity: Annuities
How Services Offered helped:

  • Marty contacts Med Supp prospects exclusively by phone
  • Targets seniors turning 65 within the next 30 to 180 days (his last T-65 list had 868 names and cost him $50!)
  • He sells 38% more annuities than Med Supps

In short, the Services Offered approach has completely changed Marty?s business while only slightly altering the prospecting approach he?s used for years with Med Supps.
